Being There for Me

after some rest so i went back to work yesterday. unfortunately, though i was a bit satisfied with my ability of controlling the class, i was scolded for not checking their homework properly and not urging them to complete their homeworks before 6. i felt really bad for that--i admit that i didn't check their works but just had a glance, but the latter, how am i supposed to urge since all of them were doing their works all along and had not talked to anyone? i saw them writing and writing, so should i still urge them or what, i don't want them to feel pressured as nowadays these kids are facing more stress than we did last time.
their parents were waiting and kept asking if they could take their kids home, but boss was there and did not allow them to do so till they finished their homeworks. what i can do was to just tell them the answer to make it fast but that really was a bad way of learning, and i knew it very well since i failed before because of that.. but what else could i do? my family must be worried as well as it was 6.30pm..
eventually the students managed to do it at 7 and i finally get to go home. as i walked out, i saw dad wavering to me outside the door. he was waiting for me.. suddenly all the grumbles were gone and i just felt so touched as there was someone waiting for me.. it reminded me of a story i read weeks ago~~~~~
it was about a girl who had an illness that can't be cured and she wanted to commit suicide when she was on a vacation to a beach with her boyfriend. at night, she went to the sea alone. she walked into the sea, trying to end her life just like that. as she moved deeper into the sea, she found it terrifying and eventually went back to the shore. suddenly he came to her and cried as he witnessed her foolish action. he said that he was afraid to call her as she might just rush herself into the sea forever, therefore he watched and hoped that she would return...... and she did..
sometimes, life can be so simple that we live just or the person who is waiting for us. and i always wonder why most of us make life so complicated, perhaps this is what they meant by living life to the fullest? but to me, as long we are happy and don't have much regrets in life, i guess that would be considered a wonderful life, right?
