Decisions~~

So, well, it's about time for me to decide what course i'm going to pursue in university. At once i did think of biomedical science, then after having some research, i'd finally decided to take the course. I really thought that this would be it, and when relatives asked about it during Chinese New Year, i did not hesitate to tell them.. but now, to think about it, did i rush myself to come out with something? I don't really know if i enjoy doing lab works with all the test tubes, beakers, microscopes, SEM, TEM... then have to measure the specimen, collect samples, do tests on samples, make slides... In school i find myself kinda dislike all these but if i were to force myself to do it, will i be able to cope with it? Mum said interest can be instilled, and i have no idea if that would happen to me..
I consulted mum and dad for advice several times. Mum wants me to be a doctor or teacher, dad suggested teacher as well, but i chose none of them. Though i have no haemophobia, being a doctor has to perform surgery and i do wonder if i could make it.
When we were asked to dissect a rat in form 6, i thought that i couldn't do it when Pn. Felicia was demonstrating. I was a bit terrified but when i was with the blade and scissors, i felt nothing at all to dissect it. Lately i watched on tv a story about doctors---the patient's heart stopped during a surgery and since the surgeons had opened his stomach or thorax (i don't know), a specialist decided to do internal heart massage. Er.. have to touch the heart using my hands, wonder if i would detach the heart from the veins... For the latter, i had a bad experience of teaching and will never want to yell anymore..
Actually i prefer courses that have something to do with physics like light, sound, magnet... but don't think i would enjoy it if i were to choose physics only, hate the calculations~~ I thought of radiology last time, but mum and dad worry about the side effects. Recently i asked mum about audiology. She said no matter what i choose, it's ok as long i have the interest. I know interest will push me far even if the tutorial is boring.
Application for local public university started weeks ago, and we are required to fill in 8 choices. Till now i still couldn't get the 8 choices. First i thought of simply clicking any courses but what if i get the simply-clicked courses that i don't really want? Moreover, read from a forum lately, this is the decision that will determine my future.. and i don't think i can work in a field that i have no interest in for more than 30 years.. Time is rushing as well, STPM results will be released soon and the deadline for the application is 10 days after that. If i were to do it after the release then it would be too late as the website would be so crowded, but i do wonder if streamyx could overcome it.. I heard that STPM gonna release on 15th of March from a forum (the same one), don't know if it's true but of course i hope that it's not.
Sometimes i wish that there could be someone who would tell me the exact answer but guess it will not happen. There can only be guidances for me but the final decision is still in my hand. All i want is to do something i like in future.. but there comes a quote that got me into dilemma-- "to like what you're doing and not to do what you like".. haih, i always think a lot, right?
